The story of KALLM
The idea for KALLM was born in October 2020, in the midst of the pandemic. Tired of the isolation and longing for a change of scenery, I booked a small cottage getaway to escape the chaos.
While I enjoyed the experience, I couldn’t help but notice all the little things that fell short of what I believed a true retreat should be. Each detail that disappointed me sparked the same thought — I could do this better.
And so, in that moment of clarity, away from home and surrounded by quiet, the idea for KALLM was born — a place built with care, intention, and all the thoughtful touches that transform a simple stay into a lasting memory.
Over the next two years, I dedicated every weekend to bringing KALLM to life — doing most of the work myself while balancing a full-time career in IT. The journey was anything but easy. The highs were exhilarating, the lows were humbling, and the challenges often felt insurmountable. Yet through every setback, I stayed focused on the vision.
Today, that vision stands proudly realized. KALLM has welcomed over 830 guests from more than 26 countries, each leaving with stories, smiles, and shared moments that make it all worthwhile.
